Autocratik (David F Chapman). #RPGaDAY2015 – 5th day and question:
Most recent RPG purchase?
Another easy one: Dark Albion: The Rose War (DOM Publishing)
The excellent German blog Mondbuchstaben recommended the campaign setting by RPGPundit and Dominique Crouzet today. Dark Albion is also his most recent purchase. It seems to be a Dark Fantasy adaption of the historical War of the Roses, which also inspired George R. R. Martin and his hit A Song Ice and Fire.
I read Mondbuchstaben’s benevolently #RPGaDAY2015 article and two RPGNOW reviews.
I’m not a huge OSR fan and as a „No School Roleplayer“ I buy good stuff even it is old-fashioned. Sorry, for the irony. Mondbuchstaben just made me too curious. Highly detailed historical Dark Fantasy is far too tempting. Thank you, I need this … and the book was cheap (< 22,- €).
Previously, I bought Ryan Macklin’s Backstory Cards and the last Unspeakable Oath (Arc Dream Publishing).
PS: Luckily, I don’t speak any Spanish. Yesterday, I would have bought Cultos Innombrables (Nosolorol Ediciones?), a cthulhoid roleplaying game from Spain, where the players are not investigators. Instead they are members of a cult …
Look at the cover. Any further questions? Sounds and looks like fun. Publishers, I want a German or English version. Thank you. (via: Autocratik/GMS Magazine)
