DemonWars: Reformation. Der Autor R. A. Salvatore der überaus erfolgreichen Forgotten Realms-Romane über den Dunkelelfen Drizzt Do’Urden (Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards of the Coast) lässt es sich nehmen, gemeinsam mit seinem Sohn einen weiteren Rollenspiel-Kickstarter ins Leben zu rufen.
Laut eigener Aussage folgt DemonWars: Reformation einem Old School-Rollenspielansatz. Der Fokus liegt auf einem schnellen Einstieg, reizvollen Kämpfen und spannenden Actionszenen.
Am 30. August 2013 benötigt das Projekt mindestens 50000 $, um durchzustarten.

Vorsicht! Ketzerei: Ich kann R. A. Salvatore nicht lesen (oder hören). All meine Versuche etwas von dem Bestseller-Autoren zu lesen (oder zu hören), scheiterten kläglich. Drizzt Do’Urden und Konsorten mögen die großartigsten Fantasyhelden aller Zeiten sein, ich werde nicht warm mit ihnen. Selbst die Hörbücher machte ich nach einer Weile einfach wieder aus. Austauschbare High Fantasy?!
Die Beschreibung der Abellican Monk erinnert sehr stark an die Jedi aus Star Wars. Eine mitreißende Idee liest sich für mich anders, aber der erste Eindruck täuscht gerne mal.
Ein Old School Fantasy-Rollenspiel mit Pseudo-Jedi von einem Autoren, der mir nicht zusagt. Was soll ich sagen, mich macht das Projekt nicht sonderlich an.
Fans von R. A. Salvatore gibt es vermutlich genug, zumindest wenn ich mir Spendierfreudigkeit für den Kicktstarter DemonWars: Reformation so anschaue. Enjoy!
