Rogue Trooper (Mongoose Publishing)
2000AD: Rogue Trooper Miniatures Game, Matthew Sprange und seine Firma Moongoose Publishing konzentrieren sich immer mehr auf Tabletop-Spiele. Das Thema Rollenspiele sei schwierig und somit nicht lukrativ genug.
Nach Judge Dredd steht nun Rogue Trooper – ebenfalls aus dem britischen Comic-Magazin 2000AD – auf dem Plan und wird dementsprechend über Kickstarter angeboten.
Alte Games Workshop-Kenner wissen bereits mehr über Rogue Trooper. Der britische Spielehersteller hatte früher einmal eine Brettspiel-Umsetzumg im Programm.
Die Southers kämpfen gegen die Norts auf dem Planeten Nu-Earth. Diese Auseinandersetzung kennt keine Regeln. Bio-, Chemiewaffen und andere Schrecken des Krieges verwüsten diese Welt.
Der genetisch veränderte Supersoldat G.I. Rogue (Genetic Infantry) ist bis auf 2 Ausnahmen immun gegen Gifte, Krankheiten und Säuren.
Der Space Marine-Anhänger ahnt wohin die Reise geht. Games Workshop, die Firma, die so vehement ihre Ideen und Trademarks juristisch verteidigt, hat sich hier ordentlich bedient.

Rogue Trooper features a titanic clash between the Southers and the Norts, on a once paradise world, Nu-Earth. Years of war and the unrestricted use of chemical and biological weapons has resulted in the landscape being turned into a blighted ruin – but still the armies fight amidst the ruins and posioned air, each deploying more troops and secret weapons in a bid to win the strategically important planet.
